Well, I’ve been frustrated in my attempts to find properly recorded 8bit music, so I’m holding off on the Video Game week until I get the music right. But, while searching around for the Final Fantasy midi, I stumbled upon today’s feature: Composer Nobuo Uematsu’s metal band, The Black Mages.

Its like Jethro Tull meets Muse meets… well, Final Fantasy.

Its crunchy, evil, goth rock, and I love it. I’ve heard bands like this before, but they were always trying to be authentic to the Death Metal genre. The Black Mages are authentic to the Death Magic genre, and the spells they cast are all level 99+.

I’m tempted to wax poetic about the keyboard playing on this song, but I’ll let you handle that yourself. Don’t forget to hit on White Mage while you rock out with your cock out.
